Our client is a well-established Tier 1 international company specialising in the design and manufacture of switches for leading OEMs. The company was founded in Germany more than 80 years ago and today carries out projects all over the world – it currently has eight international subsidiaries, including in Spain, France, Poland, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, USA and China. The company’s main products include steering column switches, seat control modules, steering wheel switches, integrated centre consoles and other mechatronic components.

Currently we are looking for a System Engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of models for numerical calculations in the field of strength of materials.
  • Conducting kinematic and dynamic analyses of designed mechanisms.
  • Drawing conclusions and preparing suggestions to improve the technical concept of the product.
  • Participate in technical discussions on new product development.
  • Creating methodologies for conducting FEA analyses in typical engineering applications.
  • Creating tools (via programming) to improve the process of defining the numerical model or for independent use by other competencies.
  • Literature studies in relation to topics related to the strength of materials in the broadest sense (material models, failure criteria, numerical methods, etc.).
  • Conducting classical analytical strength calculations.
  • Coordination of the process of experimental verification of numerical simulations.
  • Active participation in the creation of „component engineering” competencies.

Requirements:

  • Higher technical education.
  • English at an intermediate level (B2/C1).
  • Specialized knowledge and software: mechanics, strength of materials, plasticity theory, fatigue strength issues, knowledge of FEM theory, software – Abaqus, Hyperworks.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and tools: IATF16949:2016, APQP.
  • Good organization of working time.
  • Very good level of communication skills.
