For our client we are looking for a Site HSES Officer who will perform activities on a new installation project in Płock related to the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, environmental, and security standards at the project site.
This is a project-based position for 6 months at company’s facility in Płock
Responsibilities:
- Promote the 12 Life Saving Rules.
- Supervise subcontractor site activities, ensuring compliance with HSES plans, local regulations, client, and contractual requirements.
- Review and approve subcontractor HSES plans, risk assessments, and related documentation.
- Ensure inspection and compliance of tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Oversee safe execution of high-risk activities (excavations, confined space, work at height, lifting, radiographic works, pneumatic/hydraulic operations).
- Monitor and control chemical handling and storage procedures.
- Lead safety meetings, coordination sessions, and toolbox talks.
- Manage work permits and notifications in line with E&C Europe standards and legal requirements.
- Conduct site safety audits, report findings, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Halt unsafe work when unacceptable risks are identified.
- Deliver HSES training (Induction, TBTs, Work at Height, Confined Space, Safe Work Permits).
- Implement and maintain the site-specific HSES/Emergency Response Plan.
- Maintain safety inspection records and report unsafe acts/conditions to the HSES Manager.
- Audit HSES documentation (JHA/JSA, permits, incident reports, certifications, inspections, training records).
Requirements:
- Site Commissioning – Advanced
- NEBOSH Certification – Basic
- Proficiency level on Office software: Word, Excel, Power Point, Google Tools – Advanced
- Medical fitness – Confirmed
- Work at height Trained – Confirmed
- Minimum experience on Construction sites within Oil & Gas, Construction, Petrochemical Industries: 8 years – Advanced
- Proficient in English (read, write, speak) – Advanced
- Confined Space Trained – Confirmed
- Management of Contractors – Advanced
- Availability for 10 hour working day, 5 days a week, 80% of time on site, 20% office environment
